Travel and Communications

Uppsala lies just. 70 km north of the Swedish capital Stockholm, or, talking Lindy Hop terms, one hour by car west from Herräng. If you are staying in Stockholm Uppsala can easily be reached with commuter trains which depart at least once every hour from 6 in the morning to 11 in the night. The trip takes no more than 40 minutes.

Flying

If you arrive by plane, Uppsala is easy to reach from Arlanda International Airport. From Arlanda you have frequent bus and train connections. The train takes less than 20 minutes to Uppsala.

Worth checking for lower fares are also Västerås and Skavsta airport. From Västerås and Skavsta airport it takes about 1.5 hours by bus to go to Stockholm centeral station and from where another 40 minutes by train to Uppsala.

A few international flights also go to Bromma airport in Stockholm. From Bromma the bus to Stockholm central station takes about 20 minutes.From Stockholm the bus takes 1 hr, while the train takes 40 minutes to Uppsala.
