Friday swing dance and registration

DJ swing dance with DJ’s from Sweden and overseas. Dance, get acquainted and register so you won’t have to get up so early on Saturday morning.
Venue: Drabanten

Registration Saturday morning

If you did not register on Friday evening you can register Saturday morning starting 9:00.
Venue: Drabanten (No registration at Grand).

Group/Level check Saturday morning

All camp participants are to be at Drabanten at 9:30 with their dance shoes on for the level check.

Classes Saturday and Sunday

Classes will begin at 10:50 on Saturday and at 10:30 Sunday and end around 17:00.
Venues: Drabanten and Grand.

Swing Dance, Saturday

Canal Street Syncopators (sounding even better when we heard them in May!) will start to play at 21:00 at Grand. Upstairs in the café you can dance a little slower, socialize and/or enjoy something to drink or bit to eat. (Alcohol-free due to regulations of the venue).

Jack ‘n Jill Competition

The competition is open to anyone who wishes to enter. You sign up for the competition as an individual. You can sign up during the Friday evening dance or during the Saturday classes. Sign-up forms will be placed at the entrances to the venues.

In the preliminary round during the Saturday evening dance, you will dance to a few songs of different tempos with a new parter for every song. You will be judged as an individual. Your ability to make your partner and yourself look good is what counts. Several followers and leaders will be picked to dance in the final round later the same evening.

If you make it to the final round, you will dance all songs with the same partner and you will be judged as a couple. The 1st place couple wins weekend passes to Sweden Balboa Weekend 2009 in Stockholm!

Sunday Swing Dance

There will be an early evening DJ dance after classes around 17:30 on Sunday ending around 20:30. Get in a few last dances and say goodbye to new and old friends.
